Mount Vernon Inn’s sunken garden, where many brides choose to have their wedding ceremony, is a sweet little garden area that is perfect for group shots. Attendants can line the rising brick staircase behind the bride and groom, allowing even the shortest bridesmaid to be seen.
Shaded, woodsy, and painstakingly manicured, the grounds around the Inn are quite lovely no matter the season. Autumn weddings will be graced with changing leaves and glorious sunset lighting, while spring weddings can incorporate awakening blooms. Delicate snowfall blankets the area in the winter, and summer brides will have backdrops of lush and vibrant greens.
The interior of the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant is quaintly styled with antique furnishings and a variety of wallpapers, making each room a unique setting for your photos. With backdrops of burgundy toile, blue toile, murals of the Potomac, and sunny yellow stripes, every bride can find a room that beautifully complements her style and wedding colors.
