Hanging over the entrance to the hotel is a gleaming marquee with gold lettering and gilded swirls. The marquee can add a vintage flair to your group photos. In the evening, dozens of yellow lights beneath the marquee cast a romantic radiance for some intimate couple shots.

The Knickerbocker is nestled among skyscrapers, just half a block off of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, so the surrounding cityscape is a breathtaking setting for a gritty, urban photo shoot. Just around the corner, the John Hancock Center is the perfect iconic Chicago backdrop.
The lavish Crystal Ballroom hearkens back to 1920’s opulence, with an ornate, domed ceiling adorned with glowing chandeliers and a velvet curtained stage at the room’s far end. The lighting in the room is wonderfully flattering, and the lit dance floor can provide a unique ambiance for your first dance photos.
Heading up to the ballroom balcony is a great way to get shots incorporating the whole ballroom. Photographers can shoot elegant portraits of the bride and groom leaning over the balcony. Black and white or sepia tone shots will look wonderful in this setting because of its rich historic background.
