Riverside's most famous architectural treasure, the Mission Hotel Inn is both a popular ceremonial venue and a favorite location for wedding photography.
Start off your wedding day photo shoot at the hotel entrance, where the bride and groom can pose for a beautiful portrait in front of the large wooden door. Have your wedding photographer organize a group photo of the bridal party beside the ornate fountain at the front of the hotel. Afterward, venture inside the elegant lobby, where your photographer can take some relaxed photos of the bridal party lounging around on the chic furniture.
The members of your party can also pose for a group photo staggered along the lobby staircase. As you explore the lower levels of the hotel, use the numerous gorgeous corridors as settings for group and individual photos. The main courtyard on the ground floor is filled with an array of statues and sculptures, as well as colorful flower collections that will create the perfect setting for your wedding photos. Once you've finished at the Mission Hotel Inn, take a short limousine ride over to Fairmount Park, located less than a mile away. Here your wedding photographer can arrange a group photo of the bridal party on one of the expansive verdant lawns. The bride and groom can pose for an intimate portrait beneath any of the park's large shade trees or lakeside, with the tranquil Evans Lake serving as a backdrop. Finally, visit the park's delightful rose garden, where your wedding photographer can snap some great individual and group photos.
Covering over forty acres of the University of California, Riverside campus, the UCR Botanic Gardens will provide perfection location for your wedding photography session. The garden contains thirteen different floral collections, and you'll want to explore them all! Begin your wedding day photo shoot at the Rose Gardens, where the bride and groom can pose for some romantic portraits, surrounded by an array of vibrant clusters of rose bushes. Afterward, head over to the Iris Gardens, whose diverse selection of colorful iris plants, combined with scattered benches and tall shade trees, will make an ideal location for a photo shoot. You can then walk over to the Subtropical Fruit Orchard and have the bridal party pose for photos, using the orchard's lush greenery as a backdrop.
Once you've finished at the orchard, take a short walk to the Lath Dome, a unique structure with countless indoor displays that will take your breath away! The dome's Lathhouse can also work as an intimate setting for some portraits of the bride and groom, as well as shots of the groomsmen and bridesmaids separately. Finally, head over to the Botanic Garden's koi pond. This secluded area contains a miniature wooden bridge that will work well for group and individual photos. You'll have the chance to explore all these areas (and more!) during your wedding photography session at the UCR Botanic Gardens!
