Engagement Photography in Venice Beach
Known for its warm beaches, great surf, and unique artistic atmosphere, Venice Beach is a great spot in Los Angeles to have your engagement photography session. Start off at the famous Ocean Front-Walk, which is constantly teeming with artists, vendors, and every kind of street performer you could possibly imagine (and even some that you can’t!) Have your engagement photographer capture all the excitement as you and your fiancee meet some of Venice Beach’s most eccentric personalities, be they fire-eaters, roller-blading guitarists, or flaming-chainsaw jugglers!
Afterward, check out the famous Venice Canals, which run through some of Venice Beach’s most affluent West Side neighborhoods. During the sixties, the modest flats surrounding the canals became home to Beat poets, artists, and even big name rock stars like Jim Morrison of The Doors. In the last several decades, the surrounding neighborhoods have been renovated, along with the canals. Engagement Photography at Griffith Park
Griffith Park is the second-largest municipal park in all of California and one of the Los Angeles’ most picturesque locations for engagement photography. Set in the gorgeous Santa Monica Mountains, this 6 ½ acre will provide you with everything you need for an amazing engagement photo shoot. Start off your excursion of Griffith Park at the magnificent Griffith Observatory. Take your time perusing the impeccably landscaped courtyard in the foreground of the building. The immaculate observatory, with its gigantic dome, will serve as a stunning backdrop for your engagement photos. The observatory’s location, atop Mount Hollywood, also provides breathtaking views of the Los Angeles Basin, downtown LA, Hollywood, and the Pacific Ocean.
Once you’ve finished at the observatory, head over to Griffith Park’s renowned Greek Theatre, which has hosted concerts by world-famous artists ranging from The Who to Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney. Known for its elegant modern architecture, vibrant gardens, and heart-stopping views, the Getty Center’s twenty-four acre campus will keep you and your photographer exploring for hours. Have your engagement photographer take some stunning photos in the exterior courtyard, constructed with warm, beige-colored Italian travertine stone. An eclectic collection of trees surrounds the courtyard, as well as some truly unique sparkling fountains. From the west side of the Getty campus, you and your fiancee can enjoy breathtaking views of the San Bernadino Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, as well as the Los Angeles skyline.
