Venue: Clarke Estate, Santa Fe Springs, California We actually met while working at In-and-Out Burger during college. We started out as friends, my brother actually worked there too so it was like one big happy family. Jeremiah was just one of the guys at work; we were all friends and just hung out all the time together. My first impression of Jeremiah was that he took the job very seriously, even though we were just flipping burgers and making fries. Once I got to joke and talk with him I saw that he was a very funny and lighthearted person. We had a connection right from the start and it just grew the more I got to know him. We had been together just about 4 years when Jeremiah proposed. Jeremiah took me out to eat at my favorite restaurant the week between Christmas and New Years. I thought that since he hadn’t proposed on Christmas that he would wait and do it on New Year’s. But he surprised me by doing it randomly at dinner. I wasn’t expecting it at all! I was expecting him to do it on a date with more significance. He completely caught me off guard! We had to book a lot of things right away because we choose to have our wedding on 7/7/07. The weeks leading up to the wedding were a little crazy but nothing I couldn’t handle. We planned everything ourselves: we wanted a casual, elegant wedding and nothing too formal. Our ceremony was a short 25 minutes because it was a very hot day, and we were trying to get our guests out of the heat. When I was about to go down the aisle I was excited and nervous - more excited than nervous, actually. Right before Jeremiah was supposed to go out front he called me as I was waiting in the bride’s room just to check in and make sure I was OK and ready to go. I thought that that was so sweet of him. When I saw Jeremiah at the end of the aisle I was just overjoyed and thought back on the five and half years we had been together. As I was walking down the aisle to Jeremiah we didn’t look away from each other once. The reception was definitely my favorite part of the wedding. It was beautiful, because I had designed all the decorations myself, and Jeremiah had set everything up. We played on the natural aspect of our outdoor setting we just enhanced the beauty that was already there. The reception was a lot of fun and went very smoothly, except for when our flower girl fell into the fountain. The Bella photographer we worked with took all the photos that we wanted and I was in love with how everything came out. The reception was picture-perfect. It was just great to have everyone that we cared about there with us to celebrate our union together. Jeremiah and I waited until we were married to live together. It was great to have him move in. We had to learn each other’s morning routine – that was probably the hardest part. Now I just love coming home and falling asleep with Jeremiah every night.
