The Story of Kasey & Glenn

How they met: “We met on New Year’s Eve in 2008 at a party in a place called Vintage. We had a couple mutual friends there. He started talking to my friends that he knew and started asking about me. We started up a conversation and really hit it off. He requested a country song to be played so that he and his friend could do a line dance to impress me. We exchanged numbers that night and he called me 3 days later. We went out on our first date and have seen each other every day since.”

The proposal: “Glenn had a whole day planned since we were both off work. We went to Longwood Gardens first to see an ice skating show. Then we went out to dinner at Bertucci's. Afterwards he took me ice skating at Penns Landing which was the place I had previously told him that's where I fell in love with him. So we're skating around the ice and there were so many people there that I almost didn't want to go since I’m not a great ice skater. This was only my second time going. So, we're skating and one of my favorite songs, Edwin McCain's I could not ask for more, comes on over the loud speaker and I start singing when in the middle of the rink he stops me and pulls me to the side. He said remember the last time we came here, this is where we fell in love and I can't imagine my life without you... and he kissed me but when he did that I could feel him reaching for something in his pocket. Then he knelt down and said, ‘will you marry me Kasey Regi”. It was a complete surprise for me I had no idea he was going to propose! Everyone skating around us was yelling to me ‘Say yes!!’ and so I’m like, ‘yes yes yes’ and I started crying. Then he got up and closed the box and hugs me and I’m like, ‘hey can I have the ring now??’ He put the ring on my finger and said his knee was freezing. I laughed and we hugged and finished ice skating. I didn't want to put my gloves back on. :)”

The wedding: Kasey and Glenn were married in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Immanuel Church of the Nazarene, They chose the church because Kasey grew up there and being that there were no windows in the sanctuary it was perfect for their romantic, candlelit service. The reception was held at Occasions in New Hope because of “the modern architecture, unique design and amazing food. We also liked the paintings throughout done by local children. When we walked in the first time I knew we had to have it there.” The decorations were a labor of love put together by family members. Glenn’s sister in law Sofia made the ski-themed grooms cake and Kasey’s sister Mindy put together all of the bouquets the morning of the wedding.

On Bella Pictures: “It was definitely a unique experience working with Bella. They let you know exactly what to expect and give you a specialist for every step of the way to help you with any questions or concerns. Our photographer they picked for us, Barbara Leidy, was perfect. She was so easy to work with and very understanding of what we wanted. She had wonderful shots and most of the time you couldn't even tell she was there. She blended in very well and captured every moment. She had a great eye for pictures and what background would look great.”

Funny story about the wedding day: “Our ring bearer was so funny and a little OCD. While he was walking down the aisle next to the flower girl he reached into her basket and grabbed some petals to throw. Then in the middle of our ceremony he saw one petal that the flower had dropped on the stage right next to where we were. So he decided to go over and pick it up and walk down to the aisle runner and drop it there where he felt it belonged.”
